This month we will be focussing on goal setting, habit forming and your brains amazing ability to change. The Masterclasses, Self help Module, Neuroscience Module, Support and Strategy sessions are a great chance to set you up for success in the year to come.

Masterclass

How to Make and KEEP Goals and New Year's Resolutions 2022

By harnessing your executive functions, learn to set meaningful resolutions and then KEEP them, even if you’ve struggled with goal setting in the past.

After the Masterclass with Victoria Bagnall, Co Founder of Connections in Mind and executive function expert you will know:

  • Why goal setting is so important
  • Why it is so difficult to keep going towards a goal
  • About intrinsic motivation and the importance of our bigger why
  • How to use a technique for working out our bigger why
  • How to use our values to make a meaningful smart goal
  • How to use WOOP to make sure we make we make a workable plan

Self Help Module

Using your brain to develop healthy habits

Your brain has such a remarkable habit-forming capability and can be used to your advantage – creating new habits. During this pre-recorded self help module we will be looking at using your brain to create new habits and maintaining them.

Learning Outcomes

After this pre-recorded, self help module with Victoria Bagnall, Co Founder of Connections in Mind and executive function expert you will know :

  • How long it takes to form a habit
  • That you need to attach it to something else you do in a day
  • What habit you want to create
  • That each time you do something you are casting a vote for the person you want to become
  • To think through the obstacles
  • To create a workable plan
  • How to stay motivate

Neuroscience Module

Brain Development - The Science Behind Learning

In this months neuroscience module, you will learn that everyone can change their brain. It takes time, effort and repetition. The more you think, feel or do a certain thing the more automatic it will become. You can harness your brain!

Create, plan and track achieving your goals this year! These printable worksheets can be used to plan and track your progress in attaining the goals you set for yourself. Set yourself up for success!

Interactive Strategy Sessions

Run by Rachel Breskal, one of our executive function coaches and using the January theme of “New Year New You”, these interactive strategy sessions will consolidate all the information from the Connected Club, specifically looking at:

 

Session 1, Tuesday 18th of Jan – Come with a goal that you would like to achieve and we can work together to put this into practice. We be discussing strategies including GEASERS to help create behaviour change.

 

Session 2, Tuesday 25th Jan – Considering your goal from the previous session we will discuss strategies to help you get the wagon wheels back on when they start to wobble or fall off!

Weekly Support Sessions

Had a bad EF week? Then join one of our weekly support sessions, facilitated by Dr Soracha Cashman, one of our dedicated and experienced executive function coaches. In these sessions, find yourself amongst like minded people who equally struggle with their EFs. Gain and share support and advice, accountability and meet our wonderful EF community. 

Dr Cashman is a cognitive neuroscientist and experienced group facilitator regularly working with FTSE 100 companies.
